Firstly a belated happy 2019 from the Linarol Consort!
We are looking forward to our upcoming residency at Hawkwood College from 28th January to 1st February.

We will be joined by the wonderful soprano, Evelyn Tubb, in preparation for the 17th March concert of Italian music at the Leominster Early Music Weekend with Border Voices – Vivat Hercules! – music from the court of the dukes of Ferrara. When

We will also be working with James Gilchrist on 16th German song from David Hatcher’s recent transcription of the Viennese manuscript. It will be an exciting five days with loads of music to rehearse and lots of plans to hatch.
Below are a few photos from our very enjoyable visit to St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. We were warmly welcomed by Edward Wickham and his choral scholars, with whom we enjoyed performing Senfl’s Fortuna Virgo prudentissima for both the Nightsongs service and our Kellaway Concert the following evening.

And we managed to fit in a couple of hours at the Fitzwilliam Museum. Here are a couple of favourite paintings….
